FOR SALE ☞ Silver-plated egg cruet by Plato (Made in England), with 4 egg cups and Rogers Plate spoons on the original ring-handled stand, c. 1920s–40s.

DESCRIPTION ☞
Classic British breakfast service in silver plate: four pedestal egg cups with crisp beaded rims, four small spoons that hang from the arched frame, and the original scalloped, ring-handled stand. The stand/cups are stamped REG’D PLATO E.P.N.S and MADE IN ENGLAND (Plato = a Birmingham trade name on quality EPNS wares). The spoons are stamped ROGERS PLATE—silver-plated American spoons that fit and present beautifully with the set. Left in a mellow, honest patina; polish brighter if you prefer. A handsome and practical centerpiece for soft-boiled eggs, high-tea styling, or display in a traditional kitchen.

CONDITION ☞
Good vintage condition with age and use: uniform tarnish and polishing swirls; scattered surface scuffs; a few high-point rubs to the silver plate; cups and stand sturdy and sit flat. Spoons are Rogers Plate (not Plato) and are likely period replacements—sizes/patterns suit the rack and photograph well. Clean and ready for service or display.
