Vintage Portuguese Rooster Pottery – Mini Folk Art Cups & Pitcher – Signed PV Ceramic Set, 1940s-50s

DESCRIPTION ☞
A beautifully preserved 5-piece Portuguese pottery set featuring a hand-painted red rooster in classic folk art style. This vintage ceramic ensemble includes two handled mugs, a narrow-neck pitcher, a small creamer, and an open bowl — all in a creamy glaze with cranberry red floral and rooster designs.

Each piece is artisan-made with slight irregularities and brushstrokes that give it rustic, handmade charm. The set is signed on the base with what appears to be a "P over V" monogram, likely indicating a small Portuguese workshop. According to the previous owner, this set was brought to Canada by her mother as a young woman traveling by boat, suggesting a mid-20th century origin.

Perfect for display in a farmhouse kitchen, rustic cottage shelf, or folk art pottery collection.

Very good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. All pieces show typical signs of age such as light crazing and glaze variation. Clean and structurally sound with beautiful handmade character.
