DESCRIPTION ☞
Original mid-century Canadian advertising tin for Bee Hive Golden Corn Syrup from St. Lawrence Starch Co. Limited (Port Credit, Ontario). Lithographed steel in bold blue, red, and white with the classic hive crest. Back panel touts it as “A Great Energy Food… the perfect milk modifier for infant feeding,” plus uses in cooking and candy-making—peak 1940s–50s pantry marketing.
This example is empty and displays well: strong color, honest shelf wear, and that satisfying old-can silhouette with a soldered vertical seam. The underside is stamped CANCO (American Can Company), a nice maker’s mark collectors look for. Perfect for a vintage kitchen, farmhouse pantry vignette, bar shelf, or Canadian brand display.

(Company founded 1889 in Port Credit; Bee Hive was heavily promoted nationwide through the mid-20th century.)

Vintage/used with authentic wear. Scattered scuffs and scratches to the litho, small paint losses, and surface rust on top/bottom rims and along the seam. Light dings from normal use. Colors still bright; graphics legible all around. Empty, open top, sturdy for display. See all photos closely—what you see is exactly what you’ll receive.
