DESCRIPTION ☞
This vintage 1 imperial gallon tin oil can is a nostalgic piece of Canadian petroleum history. Produced by Canadian Oil Companies Limited, this collectible container once held "White Rose Winter Grade Hydraulic Fluid" — an iconic brand known for its vibrant white rose logo and bold red, white, and blue color scheme.

Likely dating to the 1950s–1960s, the can features bilingual (English and French) printing and embossed manufacturing by CANCO (Canadian Can Company). The stenciled FARMHAND HYDRAULIC FLUID marking on one side gives this piece an added rural charm, tying it to agricultural use.

A classic example of mid-century Canadian oil branding, perfect for display in a garage, man cave, barn, or shelf vignette. Not commonly found in this design, especially with the winter-grade stencil and intact handle and cap.

CONDITION ☞
Good vintage condition with visible age and patina. The can has surface wear, scattered rusting (particularly on the base), and a pronounced dent/crushing at the top left corner near the spout. The original cap and metal handle are intact and functional. Graphics and text remain clear and bold on most sides, though the "Farmhand Hydraulic Fluid" stencil shows some fading. Structurally solid and displays beautifully despite wear — consistent with decades of use and storage. Sold as found, uncleaned for authenticity. Please see photos.
