FOR SALE ☞ Antique AYER’S HAIR VIGOR cobalt blue glass bottle from the early 20th century

DESCRIPTION ☞ A striking cobalt blue apothecary bottle embossed on two sides: “AYER’S” and “HAIR VIGOR.” This vibrant piece once held a patent hair tonic manufactured by Dr. J.C. Ayer & Co., a major 19th-century pharmaceutical company based in Lowell, Massachusetts. With its squared shoulders, flared lip, and bold typography, this bottle makes a wonderful piece for collectors of antique medicine bottles, early advertising, or cobalt glass.

Displays beautifully with light passing through the vivid blue glass. Originally would have had a stopper or cork, which is no longer present. Embossed on the base with "USA G 6" (possibly Owens Glass or another early 20th-century bottle maker). A wonderful piece of American medical history and a gorgeous addition to any vintage bathroom or apothecary-themed decor.

Base is roughly 2 inches x 1 ⅛ inches (5 cm x 2.8 cm)

CONDITION ☞
Excellent antique condition. No chips or cracks noted. Some internal haze and light scuffing typical of age and use. Stopper is not present. Displays very well with strong embossing and beautiful blue color throughout. Please see photos.
