FOR SALE ☞ Antique Mirrored Jewelry Box with Framed Lithograph "Le Boudoir" by Morris & Bendien Inc NY

DESCRIPTION ☞ An absolutely stunning true antique piece that deserves a prized place on your vanity!

This gold painted wooden jewellery box features a framed colored lithograph behind glass on the front. The litho is a reprint from Morris & Bendien Inc NY c. 1915 and titled "Le Boudoir." The original plate engraving is housed in the British Museum, where the description for the plate reads "Plate 7: in a boudoir, a noble woman sitting on a sofa with a book in her hand, while a young man is courting a servant outside. 1774. Etching and engraving."

Inside this jewellery box are three compartments separated by a wooden divider, which can be removed. A loose plate of glass lines the bottom of the box on the inside. The mirror on the underside of the lid is true period looking glass with a gorgeous number of imperfections that add to it's charm. Green felt fabric lines the bottom outside of the box to protect from scratching. The brass metal hardware is all intact and operates smoothly. The fabric tab on the underside of the lid is still there but has frayed with age.

DIMENSIONS ☞ Box measures approximately 8" by 10"

CONDITION ☞ This piece is in good condition and shows it's 100+ years well! The only imperfections we see are in the mirror as mentioned in the description above, as well as a few scuffs in the paint here and there (see photos) The green fabric on the bottom is clearly worn from use and age.
