DESCRIPTION ☞ This beautifully ornate and compact photo album is mostly empty, except for several professional cabinet cards and amateaur snapshots of various people pasted inside on random pages. Black and brown cover with gold detailing. Pages have edge gilding with engraved flowers. Spine also has lovely gold details, and reads "Album." 4 white glass baubles decorate the front and back which keep the book raised from touching a flat surface when open. Front page inside states "The Photographic Album." There doesn't seem to be any writing on the inside pages, even on the photograph index page. Green binding tape lines the first and last pages, affixing it to the cover. Cabinet cards state they are from the Toronto and Boston areas and appear to be from the late 1800s.

DIMENSIONS ☞ Measures 6" x 5.5" x 2.5"

CONDITION ☞ The cover of this album is in great shape. While there is some natural wear from age and use in the (possibly leather?) cover, there are no major defects to note. The cover is heavy, however, and does pull on the binding of the album if it is not opened with care. The pages inside are in decent shape for it's age, but there is some foxing on the pages, as well as some tape marks in the occasional place. A few pages are starting to seperate from the binding.
