DESCRIPTION ☞ A small pocket sized manual for soldiers in the U.S. army and navy during the American Civil War, published in 1865 by Perkinpine & Higgins. This book contains: a soldier's pay scale and calendar; the principles, letters and plans of the U.S. Sanitary Commission; chapters about hospitals and a directory for them as well as fatalities, artificial limbs; religious hymns and psalms including the Lord's Prayer. DIMENSIONS ☞ Measures 4.25" long by just shy of 3" wide.

CONDITION ☞ Overall, this copy in good shape for it's age and the fact that it was meant to be carried on the soldier's person during war times. Front cover is separated from the book. Back cover is still attached. Front and back covers show the most wear with worn patches and small tears along the edges. Inside, there are a few dog-earred pages and slight staining throughout. Please see photos. Color may differ slightly in real life from how it appears on your screen due to varying monitor settings.
