CPR Nautical Lantern Canadian Pacific Rail Transport Adlake Kero Lamp with Red Glass Shade c. 1913

FOR SALE ☞ "Adlake" Lantern for the Canadian Pacific Railroad c. 1913

DESCRIPTION ☞ According to one of our knowledgeable collectors in our network, this stamped CPR "Adlake" lantern is quite rare as it was intended for one of the many CPR Nautical line of Ocean Liners, Sternwheelers or Steamships based in British Columbia sometime before WW1. While we can't confirm which particular vessel it was on, based on where this item was recently discovered in storage, we assume it was likely used in the Kootenay Lake area on one of the CPR owned sternwheelers. Perhaps it was intended for use on the SS Nasookin which was launched by CPR in 1913?

This Adlake Kero lantern comes with an elongated red globe made by Handlan Buck. According to the stamps on the lantern, it was made by Adams & Westlake and patented between 1909 and 1913.

DIMENSIONS ☞ This lantern stands approximately 15" tall with the handle vertical, and just under 6.5" wide at the base.

CONDITION ☞ This lantern has been gently used from what we can see around the burner, but by all appearances is in good condition overall. Some very slight knicks and dings in the exterior metal portion of the lamp, nothing major. Please see photos. Color may differ slightly in real life from how it appears on your screen due to varying monitor settings. Have a question about this item or want to see more photos?
