DESCRIPTION ☞ This is a fine example of an early 1900s Canadian Dominion Panel pressed glass oil lamp, made of manganese glass. The font is beautiful with clear impressions in the pattern and a hint of amethyst starting to show. Beaded pie crust chimney is original to the time period. Lit up under UV black light you can almost see it's full potential if it were to be fully oxidized under the sun's UV rays. Font has an Eagle burner attached, patented 1888 & 1897.

DIMENSIONS ☞ Font measures approximately 10.5" tall and chimney measures just over 9" -- combined, the oil lamp measures approximately 18" tall.

CONDITION ☞ The font and chimney are both in excellent shape. No signs of chips, cracks or repairs. No flea bites to note. The font has some straw marks from the original glass mold, as well as some lovely bubbles in the glass, which we tried to highlight in the photos. The manganese glass has a slight purple/amethyst tint to it already, so it is up to the buyer if they would like to keep it out of sunlight or convert it completely to a full amethyst.

This lamp came from one of the largest oil lamp collections in Western Canada and was kept in pristine condition by the previous owner. It will be wrapped with extreme care prior to shipping with instructions for unpacking to prevent breakage.
