FOR SALE ☞ Byron Harmon Framed Photo of Banff "Cascade Mountain and Reflection Pool" (Pre 1942)

DESCRIPTION ☞ This rare, black and white photo showcases the Banff townsite and Cascade Mountain, presumed to be taken prior to 1942. This photograph has been attributed to renowned photographer, Byron Harmon for his series of photos "Along the Line of Canadian Pacific Railway".

This particular framed photo does not display his name on the front, however the title of the photo is easily referenced in several online archives where only an identical postcard version of this print has been attached to his name.

The back of the framing is still intact, so there is a chance his name or photographer's stamp is somewhere on the back of the photocard, which we cannot get to without removing the backing paper. It is up to the buyer if they choose to remove the backing and explore the frame contents.

The frame itself is a delicately carved wooden piece, painted a metallic grey or silver and is most likely the original frame for this photo.

"Cascade Mountain and Reflection Pool, Banff" is handwritten in pencil in the bottom right corner in a decorative cursive.

This historical glimpse of the world famous Banff, a well known Canadian National Park, is sure to complete any cabin decor!

DIMENSIONS ☞ Frame is approx 14" x 12.5", Photo is 9" x 6.5"

CONDITION ☞ This framed photo is in fantastic condition for its age. Frame is certainly vintage, hand carved and painted in a silver-y finish. There is some wear on the paint around the edges, which only adds to its rustic charm! Matting is aged but there are no stains or signs of mold to note. Photo is crisp and clear in person (hard to capture on digital camera through glass!). Backing paper on the frame is intact. Photo is referenced by its name but there is no photographer stamp or signature on the front of the photograph.
