DESCRIPTION ☞ King George V died on January 20, 1936. This rare memorial card is from the civic memorial service that took place at Victoria Arena in Calgary, Alberta. This event coincided with his actual funeral on 28th January 1936 at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle following a week long Lying-in-State in London.

The 4 PP memorial card is a single sheet of paper, folded in half to create 4 pages. The front cover features an engraving portrait of the late King, and the words: "Civic Memorial Service -- in Memory of Our Late Beloved King His Majesty King Georve V. -- VICTORIA ARENA, CALGARY Tuesday, January 28th, 1936 at 3 pm."

Please note the spelling error in the King's name, where the printer used a V instead of the second G in George.

Inside, is the order of service and the hymns. On the back is a credit to the musical bands performing the service and publication information.

DIMENSIONS ☞ Measures 9" by 6"

CONDITION ☞ Like new. Comes in protective mylar cover. There are printing errors from the original printing, including an ink smudge. Please see photos.
